TruDiva, the act being hailed by many industry heavyweights as the next major commercial act breaking out of the Caribbean, just released her music video for the smash single Party All Night (Booty Dance).

“The response so far has been amazing, people love the dances, the colours, the music. It’s just been incredible so far,” TruDiva said in a release.

Produced by the award-winning Hollywood, California-based production team at SKEE TV, the video shot to No. 1 in only its first week on the HYPE TV Video Top 10 Chart.

After an impressive showing at this year’s Reggae Sumfest, TruDiva generated quite a buzz among teenagers and, now, her song is playing in over 50 cities including Boston, Miami, Los Angeles, Houston, and New York. It appears that TruDiva has captured the eyes of many of the trendsetters and tastemakers abroad.

Nick Vidal, one half of the world-famous DJ team, the Baka Boyz, declared that the song is like nothing else out there and the video is impressive.

An interesting sidebar to the making of the video was the dance competition held in Kingston, where dancers from all over the globe flew in to compete for the Booty Dance Finals held at Sumfest 2011. The winning team from Osaka, Japan and the runners-up from Stockholm, Sweden were both featured in TruDiva’s music video.

The producers of the video are making an appeal to the public to find the man operating the dancing puppet in the video named Skeleisha, who was handpicked for the No. 3 prize.

Indeed, TruDiva is very proud of the fact that the video was shot in Jamaica. “I take great pride in being a Jamaican artiste, and I would have it no other way than to show the world the sights, sounds, colours, and great dancing from Jamaica,” she says.

Already being compared as a cross between Rihanna, Kesha, and Beyoncé, but with a style all her own, this Clarendon beauty seems to be on a path and a journey that could be very special for both herself and her native country of Jamaica. It has been a long while since a Jamaican female has crossed the borders and achieved superstar status, but maybe TruDiva ‘can cross it’. Backstage at Sumfest, she posed for pictures with Minister of Tourism Edmund Bartlett, who is an avid music fan.

C. Cirocco Jones, legendary music producer and author, praised her quick growth and development. “I have been producing music for over 30 years and I have worked with all the legends from Michael Jackson to Johnny Gill, etc., but this girl has amazed me! I have seen with my own eyes this young and humble girl from the country sit down and put pen to paper and create several hit records. With no formal training, this achievement absolutely is astonishing. She is easily 6 singles deep on her first album, and will be one of those rare artists that can boast to have made her own music.”

What is it about Clarendon entertainer TruDiva that seems to be connecting with a rapidly expanding international fan base?

With the international buzz on major California radio stations for her Booty Dance single, TruDiva attracted the attention of a major music-video team from Hollywood, California, who flew to Jamaica to shoot the music video recently. The eight-person team from SKEE TV boasts some of the best videographers in the world, led by Daniel Boyce and Director Daniel Czernilofsy. They have done videos by Akon, The Game, Ice Cube, Far East Movement, and more.

“The video is now ready and it’s going to blow people away because it showcases Jamaica’s diverse and exciting dance culture in a unique way,” TruDiva said in a release.

The video will be available worldwide, as television stations from Japan to California, and to Africa are clamoring for it.

Described as a cross between Rihanna, Kesha, and Beyoncé, but with a style all her own, TruDiva has been able to capture the attention of some of the world’s most powerful industry players with her self-written songs.

Legendary American DJ Sir Charles Dixon from WBLS-New York and Music Choice says her single Party All Night is one of the most exciting and impactful records on his playlist right now. “I have seen first hand how this is the hottest record right now from the Caribbean, that ladies are reacting to both on the dance floor and on the radio,” he said.

And this same smash single that is currently exploding in Jamaica has also been picked up by radio stations in over 50 cities in the USA, including the prestigious New Music Show on KIIS in Los Angeles, where it has been playing consistently over the last couple of months. This is the same station that houses Ryan Seacrest of American Idol fame.

With the backdrop of the Booty Dance Competition in Kingston, the Hollywood-based team produced what is destined to be another award-winning production that is sure to vault up the charts here in Jamaica, but even more important for Jamaica, will surely bring an exciting taste of our country to the rest of the world.

The cutting-edge production, action, colours, and artistry, packaged with an amazing song and artiste, make the whole production an obvious play for the likes of MTV and BET internationally.

the prestigious KIIS-Los Angeles’ New Music show as well as key radio stations in several other major
US cities including Miami, Phoenix, Houston, Long Island, and New York just to name a few.
Legendary DJ Sir Charles Dixon describes the record as, “Beyoncé – “Single Ladies” meets Rihanna –
“Pon De Replay” but with a vibe all its own.”

The expansive Hispanic market has adopted “Party All Night (Booty Dance)” with a Sabor remix by
actress and rapper Filly Brown and Latino singer Medicine Girl. The song will be airing in heavy
rotation on both the Pocos Pero Locos and Subelo Radio Networks, which includes 30 radio stations in
major U.S. cities such as New York, Chicago, Miami, and San Antonio. To further promote the song,

Back in Jamaica, mega-superstar Elephant Man heard the song and loved it so much, he decided to
jump on a remix that is now blazing the airwaves all over the island and throughout the Caribbean.
The buzz around “Party All Night (Booty Dance)” has become so massive that local Jamaican
powerhouse radio station IRIE FM along with Hype TV will be covering an open call dance audition to
the song scheduled for Friday, July 15th at the Lime Light Night Club in Half Way Tree, Kingston from
12 Noon to 6 PM. The top 2 dancers or dance groups showcasing their best choreographed or

Asked about gracing the stage at Sumfest 2011, Trudy says, “I can’t wait. Performing on the Sumfest
stage and seeing the best dancers in Jamaica choreograph a routine to my song Party All Night is
going to be amazing!”

Hailing from Clarendon parish in Jamaica, Trudy (TruDiva) has been penned by many as the next
major commercial act breaking out of the Caribbean. Her record company, Oceanic Tradewinds Music,
is fielding distribution offers, not just from the USA, but also from Japan and Europe. Trudy’s next
single, “Getaway” is produced by Demarco and is being remixed in Los Angeles, California and
scheduled for release in the Fall. Rumors are already swirling about potential features on that record.

In the music industry, you don’t always hear about entertainers giving back. Well, Jamaican Musical sensation Trudy TruDiva recently was selected by the ISSA Trust Foundation to pen a tune to help raise money to assist in their charity efforts. This was announced recently at a press conference at the Annotto Bay Hospital in St. Mary. Diane Pollard, Chief Executive Officer of the ISSA Trust Foundation says, “We are excited to work with an artist who has an extraordinary heart to match her extraordinary talent.”

Trudy, known to many as TruDiva has been highlighted by many of the musical industry’s elite as the latest Jamaican entertainment brand crossing over internationally, following in the footsteps of folks like Sean Paul, Shaggy, Beenie Man, etc. Trudy’s newest song ‘Booty/Party All Night’ is one of the hottest songs in Jamaica right now, and is breaking in the USA on dozens of radio stations including mega-station KIIS in Los Angeles on their new music program. It is a fun song about a dance craze that is breaking out of Jamaica and spreading worldwide. There will in fact be local dance competitions to find the best dancers who Trudy hopes to expose internationally in her new video.

Trudy is as excited about getting people to ‘move’ and send money for Issa as she is about moving people on the dance floor. Indeed, Trudy is very passionate about helping kids, as it was not long ago whereby she made a difficult decision to forego a full-time career in the health field as a pediatric nurse to take the plunge into the music field full time.

Trudy says, “By helping ISSA, I can take my passion for helping kids and combine that with my love for music. I am thrilled to be working with the great folks at ISSA because the money they raise is truly making a difference for the children – our future leaders. By helping reduce child mortality rates in Jamaica, we are planting a real seed for the future.”

Trudy’s record company, Oceanic Tradewinds Music, is also personally invested in the charity. Gary Bernstein, Oceanic’s President says, “My son Joshua was born 3 pounds, and 2 ounces, and would not have survived if not for the superior medical equipment and personnel at the Neo-Natal Intensive Care Unit at the Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. Born in Jamaica, he might not have survived. What Diane Pollard and her team at the ISSA Trust Foundation is doing in Jamaica is amazing and I encourage other companies who love Jamaica and Jamaican Music to donate funds and give back to an area of the world that really needs our help.”

The ISSA Trust Foundation was founded in 2005 by Couples Resorts, and the presentation of 3 new incubators and medical equipment to the Annotto Bay Hospital was valued at over $100,000 in US dollars. Also attending the press conference with Trudy and Gary Bernstein was Governor General Sir Patrick Allen, Her Excellency Lady Allen, Paul Issa – Chairman of the ISSA Trust Foundation, as well as many other local dignitaries and health care workers.

Look for Trudy’s charity song to be posted on their website.
